Let’s Review Summer 2016!

We’re back to cable knit jumpers and ankle boots as our very short-lived summer has come to an end and winter is creeping back in 😦 So let’s take a look at some of this summer’s go-to’s and prepare for the all-new winter season!

  1. The wide leg trousers

Cropped, wide leg and draw-string bottoms are what got me through this entire summer; the heatwaves were unpredictable, making it very awkward to keep up with the whole season, so I’ve found these beauties to be the ultimate middle ground for any kind of day.

The comfort is incrdible and they look fantastic with pretty much anything – get a bunch of crop tops in different colours and you’re good to go! Whether you’re in the mood for Converse or heels, these will honestly do. It’s such an effortless outfit yet right on the money for the season and, being so versatile, you just won’t get enough of them.

2. Maybelline Anti-Age Eraser

This little bad boy is something I’ve re-purchased three times now over the summer – it’s an absolute must-have have the ultimate time-saver.

If you hate wearing make-up during the hot days, this is all you’ll need and it’s been all that I’ve used the entire time. The coverage of this concealer is astonishing and, despite it only being available in 3 shades, it’s amazing how closely it matches my skin tone. I’ve gone for the ‘nude’ shade as it maintains a natural look and I’ve simply been applying it to any affected areas and setting the product with some pressed powder – all done!

3. Batiste Dry Shampoo

I’ve been quite undecided about the whole dy shampoo fiasco for quite a while but this year in particular I’ve definitely found my love for it and now can’t live without it!

I was unsure about whether it actually works – I’ve always had mixed results but after some dedication, I now struggle to understand how people don’t use this. It’s a massive time-saver for early mornings and it has helped me immensely over the summer to stop washing my hair every day.

I’ve tried other brands of dry shampoo and I’ve found Batiste to have the best value for money as well as the best end result, giving a fresh, volumised look with minimal effort – a must-have in your summer bag!
