Fresh NYX Batch!

For the past good few months, I have been absolutely loving the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams – they’re so affordable at only £5.50 each, really great quality products, durable and long-lasting, plumping and hydrating – everything you could ever want and need from a matte lip cream all in one place. So far, I’ve invested in 6 NYX lip products and, last week, I got a fresh batch of 3 new shades.

                       Stockholm                                         Milan                                            Tiramisu

I love my brown shades but, as spring is fast approaching, I needed a brown that is a little less wintery and, for this, Stockholm is the perfect shade. It’s a nude brown with a peach undertone, giving it a bit of a summer glow without going all out into a bright colour. Since buying this shade, I’ve used it almost every day – it’s such a wearable colour, perfect for everyday so you don’t have to worry about matching it with anything because it’s so versatile.

Milan is the shade I went for to get more into the spring vibe. My current lipstick collection consists of, mostly, browns and burgundys which, as hard as it is, I need to let go as brighter days are coming. Milan was a bit of a gamble as reviews of the product showed quite drastic differences in result depending on skin and lip tone but I am fully satisfied with it – it’s very pink but not a ridiculous hot pink. It’s one step up from a nude pink which I find perfect for spring and summer.

Last but not least, I opted for a gloss because they’re very limited in my make up bag and, for spring and summer, I feel that a tinted gloss is easier to wear rather than a matte lip because any type of make up is just uncomfortable in the heat but, with a tinted gloss, there’s a way around it. The Tiramisu Butter Gloss is a very sheer brown and is good for moisture without full coverage of colour. The only thing I’ve noticed about this one is that I expected it to be much lighter. NYX have the Intense Butter Gloss collection as well which I thought were the heavier ones, which is why I went just for the Butter Gloss, but it’s not enough to put me off. Overall, I’m really excited about my new NYX products – they never disappoint.

If you have any NYX recommendations, I’d love to hear about them! 🙂
